How to play World Tap League
World Tap League is a country-versus-country game. You press Find a match, get paired with a real player somewhere in the world, and both of you play the same random minigame. Whoever scores better wins the round, and the winner's country gets one point on the global leaderboard.
Every round is short, between 5 and 20 seconds, and works the same on a phone or a computer. You don't need an account.
Fair play: same game, same conditions
Both players get the same random seed for the round. That means the same falling blocks in Dodge, the same delay before the screen changes in Reaction and the same number layout in 1 → 9. The only difference between you and your opponent is skill.
Dodge
Press and hold anywhere on the board to start. Keep holding and move your finger or mouse to steer the pink ball around the falling blocks. The round ends when you hit a block, when you let go, or when you survive 20 seconds. Longest survival time wins.
- Stay in the lower half of the board. Blocks have more time to spread out by the time they reach you.
- Small, early moves beat big, late ones. Blocks get faster and wider every second.
- On a phone, use your thumb from the side so your hand doesn't cover the ball.
Reaction
The screen is dark. At a random moment it turns pink. Tap as fast as you can. Lowest time in milliseconds wins. Tapping before it turns pink is a false start and counts as a loss for that round.
- Most people land between 200 and 300 ms. Under 200 ms is very fast.
- Rest your finger lightly on the screen instead of hovering above it.
- The delay is random, so don't try to guess the rhythm.
5 Seconds
A timer starts counting. After 1.5 seconds the numbers disappear and you have to tap at exactly 5.00 seconds by feel. The player closest to 5.00 wins, whether early or late.
- Count in your head from the moment the numbers vanish, starting at "two".
- Most people tap too early when they're nervous. Wait a beat longer than feels right.
Mash
Tap as many times as you can in 5 seconds. Most taps wins. Taps faster than about 18 per second aren't counted, which keeps auto-clickers from winning.
- Two fingers alternating is faster than one finger.
- Keep your taps short and close to the screen.
1 → 9
Nine numbered tiles appear in a random order. Tap them from 1 to 9 as fast as you can. Every wrong tap adds one second. Fastest total time wins.
- Look for the next two numbers at once instead of one at a time.
- Accuracy beats speed here. One mistake costs more than a slow tap.
How the rankings work
Total wins counts every round your country has won. Bigger countries with more players naturally rise here. Win rate divides wins by rounds played, so a small country with sharp players can still reach the top.
If your opponent leaves before finishing, the round is marked No contest and doesn't count for either country.
